CSI branded flash chip most likely. Best bet would be to put it in a ECM and read with the flash tool, will need an 808 with serial board though.

Definitely CSI/Catalyst.

Methinks CAT28F010N, though the carrier PCB will make it look like a 27C256 EPROM or such (in read mode).

If no luck there it could be worth trying it in a 424 as well.

that looks just like the chip I pulled out of a socketed vl RB30 ecu done by chip torque back in the 90s. read it the same as a normal eprom try 27c256 if the 128 did not work.

I took another reading as a 27c256 with offset 6000 and tried to open it with $12 and some data is looking pretty good, still not perfect.

Well that did read a partial first 1/3 of it. Ive stripped the first 4k and from a nice boundry that lines up on the other end and stripped from there. The entire cal segment is here but its still hard to identify. If you can pick a VE table by eye its here somewhere or you could try a few xdfs and see if anything happens to line up. I suspect it is aftermarket code, though.

You could try some different offsets and might be able to stitch it back together in its entirety. Reading it from the pcm is a good option, IF its code that supports 8192baud.

edit: snap, you saw where I was going with that

Hopefully you have enough for the VE.
