yeah but blower rpm is directly linked to engine rpm, so effectively that means your going to get more gain in the mid range, which is where you usually want it anyways!
from what i've seen of firebugs L67 so far its got way more torque low down than the non boosted ecotec so its more either way even if it is out of its peak performance rpm zone!
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!
I mean comparing the 2 types of compressor. Roots have a mid band best operation , either side drops off. But with screw it's the same pretty much from stand still to max rpm. So when looking at engine performance point of view whipple have a far more aggressive low end all the way to redline.

The Whipple is actually lower profile slightly then that M90 and less bulky looking.
Unfortunately the intercooler and adapter plate overall height is 50mm so it hits the bonnet before it even closes. They said on the VT to VY cars under hard load the pulley nips the bonnet insulation and they are taller bonnets than the VS, VR and taller again then the VN/VP.
But good news is they can pull out non IC adapter plate from the CAD archive if needed and they are only what looks to be 12mm thick so east peasy fit. So it will end up being stock if not slightly less height. So such a kit would be a a few K less in price. Probably close to half price. They said that do have several guys running non IC kits with no probs.
They had some more gear there, heads of all kinds on display and rockers. The 202 heads look great.
Can't believe the LS heads, man the ports are huge and the heads are huge yet they weigh about 2/3rds of a v6 cast head.
