Had a bit of a look, the vn group a tune certainly has a lot more timing in it as expected. The ve table also looks quite interesting, it peaks higher than I thought it would. Quite clearly being 5ltr rather than 5.8 and the twin throttle body manifold makes quite a difference. I might use this as a bit of a guide for when I put the torque power manifold on as it has shorter and wider runners like the group a manifold when compared to the std one I have now.

I think I am getting there with this tune. The main cruising areas of the table are starting to come together, most places are around 14-14.7:1. I have been trying to get them round 14:1 at least, knowing that closed loop operation will trim fuel as necessary. There are a couple of cells that must still be a tad lean as I see the wide band dip into the 15s on occasions.
Also, I had a play with AE as I noticed the AFR was dipping to 10-11:1 most times I accelerated. I dropped the mulitplier and took some out of the AE gain v delta manifold fuel.
Its still a bit rich in areas of acceleration, ranging from 11:1 to 12.5:1 and going as low as 10:1, but that might just be the AE.
I tried putting some more timing in but noticed some knock counts appear so I backed it off and will continue to try and refine the ve table.
One thing I did notice was that the BLM count is always 100. I thought this was a bit strange as I know the map is not perfect so I was thinking there would probably be some values show up. I turned the closed loop back on and ticked narrow band ve learn, but are there other parameters I need to check for BLM?

You want the wideband to go rich when you first accelerate for a second. And given the stock intake manifold it woud be best to adjust the rpm multiplier table before the manifold fuel.

cool no worries, its still going rich which is good. I think it was going too rich initially as the wide band went all the way to 10:1 and I could feel it stumble if I hit the gas too hard.
As for the BLM, should I be seeing numbers? It seems odd that the ecu would not be implementing any LTFT, considering I am sure it is not perfect.

Maybe you have forced open loop? Or you have no narrow band connected?

i did have open loop forced for when I was tuning the main map using the ve calculator. I have since turned it back on and it goes into closed loop on the dash board. The narrow band is connected and working as I see the voltage changes. The STFT is working as I can see when it is operational on the dash board. But for some reason it is not doing any long term fuel trim?

Be carefull with ve learn, do download and recheck your maps. Depending on how your driving it can make more of a mess than do good. It sounds like your tune is close enough that I would avoid it.

Thanks antus, yes I experimented with ve learn and indeed it made a bit of a mess. I made a few changes around where it idles that were counter productive and the ecu made BLM changes, so it does work, I must just have the tune pretty close. I have subsequently reversed the changes around the idle area of the map!
