Flashing codes is good means the ecu is awake and code is running.now to plug the cable into laptop only and find it in device manager
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

It doesn't show in device manager but I was looking in add device and plugged the cable in and it popped as Ft232R USB UART so it is being recognised just need to sort out the comport

Yip ide say once it installs a driver it should pop up as com port I'm new to Windows above xp so not much help on the Windows end compared to some of the guys on here lol

It seems that the cable is connecting but it's not detecting hardware

Use the ose flashtool see if it connects

So it gets a comm port assigned to it in device manager?
You set that same port in tuner pro?
You are running 12P on your memcal/NVRAM?

go to device manager. look for this:

if you dont have any usb serial ports under device manager,t hen the driver isnt installed properly, or you have the wrong driver. make sure you use the VCP driver from FTDI.

Yep thank you I have finally found comport 3 in device manager after install of FTDI drivers. Just Need to go out to the shed and test it now.

Tried again to no avail still hardware not found yellow square turned orange and says da connecting and that's it.
Serial port comport 3 found in device manager but nothing connecting cable test valid. Would it be worth deleting the hole thing from my laptop and starting a gain being that I am only new at this am lost
