there's a PDF on the first post where you download the zips from. Nothing to turn on just put the correct calc in to the adxstevedarman wrote:I thought i saw a parameter to turn on the wideband in the bin

Re: The1's Enhanced Factory Bins
Ok, thanks. Was planning on using an auto bin cause I'm converting over to an auto when time and finances permit. The auto should be here this week but it will be a while before I get a transfer case adaptor. So I am looking for the most effective way to do this.The1 wrote:that enhanced is based off CJDN, if you need to use a nvram there is a CFZF on the realtime page.

Re: The1's Enhanced Factory Bins
id prefer the enhanced bin, it has the issue with rev limiter fixed and maf tables extended. I have started doing the spare input mod for wideband etc just need time to finish it.
Re: The1's Enhanced Factory Bins
Ok.
If you decide to work on the HSV stroker bins and need someone to test it out for you I'll do it when I get my stroker back on the road.

How is fuel compensated for with a cold engine?
is there a coolant Temperature offset?
I have air fuel ratio fairly good when at normal operating temperature
but a cold engine runs very rich

There is an offset table verses coolant temps in there somewhere. And charge temp table also effect this and has a coolant contribution table linked to its.
Main thing to check is that the wideband reading matched the target from cold to operating a temps before playing with the settings unless you are needing to correct it which I have found the charge temp term is what is typically out some.

I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

My afr is way out with a cold engine
Thanks for the advise
I must be blind I cannot see either the offset table verses coolant temps and charge temp table
Can you show me where they are

Re: The1's Enhanced Factory Bins
Is this MAF based? If so I believe they work the cold start a bit different to the earlier V8 tunes that use charge temp based of the MAT (Which the VT and series 3 VS V8's don't have). Fairly sure the MAF based V8 tune is very similar to the V6 stuff which just uses a target AFR Vs ECT cold start table.

Yes its VX L67 MAF the only cold run ofset i can find is "Open loop Idle Air fuel ratio Vs Temp"

Re: The1's Enhanced Factory Bins
OK, so cold start is all open loop stuff. It will stay in open loop until the minimum closed loop ECT is reached which I believe is 30° C and the minimum time has passed which I think is 120 seconds.
During cold start the injector PW is set by cranking tables. Once it starts then there are the "Cold Engine - Temp Dependent AFR Change V's Coolant - P/N" tables which step up the AFR's until they reach the target AFR set in the "Open Loop AFR Vs mgc Vs RPM tables or it goes into closed loop mode.
A Cold start should look something like this

The dark blue trace in the top window is the AFR, you can see it stepping up with time. It will continue to do this until it either reaches the open loop AFR target or the engine goes into closed loop mode. It does indeed start off very rich, this is normal.
