Acceleration Enrichment

Post by VX L67 Getrag »

As the topic suggests I'm trying to sort out a lean spike on tip in, no matter how well the injector multiplier table is set just on initial acceleration anywhere from 20Kmh to 200KMH the wideband is going to 20:1 & feels like poo!

It's a VS L67 with VE MAF sensor running the enhanced gear & a lumpy cam with tight lobe seperation & running E85.

I'm thinking the "Acceleration Enrichment - Delta TPS Multiplier" may be the best to get it richer on tip in, but it's already up near 90% in the mid to high tps ranges already so it probably wont make a huge difference.

Does that enhanced code have a AE target AFR table? Is it set for E85?

I done a VY Supercharged once and there was a table for AE AFR.

Doesn't have a target AFR table, just multipliers based on ECT and TPS and a decay table.

Maybe the TPS delta needs to be lower. It coud be looking for a big change in TPS position given its a delta of 90%. In 12P it's very low like 1% off hand.

I don't have it defined in my xdf, I'm trying the "AE - Sync Delta filter" for now it was set at 0.19 & I now have it set for 1.0(max) so see if it helps but yeah if it has an AE AFR table it may be another option.

use one of these first to get it in range, depending on state.

Acceleration Enrichment - Sync Delta TPS Multiplier V's Coolant - Drive
Acceleration Enrichment - Sync Delta TPS Multiplier V's Coolant - P/N

Then you can fine tune with these two.

Acceleration Enrichment - Sync Delta TPS Multiplier V's AirTemp
Acceleration Enrichment - Delta TPS Multiplier of Last BPW

Thanks for the replies folks!

SO I put the AE - TPS filter constant for sync delta TPS back down to 0.19 (but I think it did seem better at max, but really shouldn't have?)

This thing has a T5 & running a standard VS V6 PCM so it's not seeing a speed signal to PCM & not sure if it's causing drama's.

But having manual flag set it "SHOULD" be assuming it's always in drive & the issue seems to be worse when its cool/cold so I pretty much doubled all the
Acceleration Enrichment - Sync Delta TPS Multiplier V's Coolant - Drive
settings below 40 deg's but it didn't seem to help at all?

No VSS means it won't go into idle mode I think. Not sure if it will effect the AE at all though as those settings are based of TPS and ECT mostly from what I can see.

I bumped up the AE as I seemed to have a flat spot when we put the smaller pulley on (and was showing knock retard on the logs), was worse on cold start so it got more using the tables The1 Mentioned above. I need to stop been lazy and fit a WB so it can be tuned properly though.......

I thought with no VSS may think it's always at idle, but either way the rest of the tune is spot on & didn't think it would affect AE but thought I'd better mention it just in case!

The p/n tables are WAY higher than drive in the cold areas so maybe I should start going more extreme the only thing I'm unsure of is the AE - Decay tps multiplier Vs Ref pulses
What are the ref pulses of & how do we know how many are in affect?

EDIT; I had vas instead of VSS
