There are a number of flags that can be altered for how the TCC behaves although I don't know if they are all defined.
I think I did something similar in our old VS V6

Re: The1's Enhanced Factory Bins
The issue is not the TCC but rather in the D range the overrun clutch prevents engine braking.
it is deactivated in the manual gear ranges hydraulically to allow engine braking, the PCM cannot control the overrun clutch.

I know there are a few Tcc flags In. The 11p xdfs and am yet to check the vs v6 xdf to see what's defined in there.immortality wrote:There are a number of flags that can be altered for how the TCC behaves although I don't know if they are all defined.

I understand that the overrun clutch does not apply while in D range, but I know while it is locked up at 100kph when you decelerate to 90 odd it will stay locked but then unlock. There must be another table at play here.charlay86 wrote:The issue is not the TCC but rather in the D range the overrun clutch prevents engine braking.

While at 100kmh and going down the Bombay hills for arguments sake (immortality will know what I'm talking about) the car will keep the Rpms up and dfco active the whole way down. Whether or not the Tcc is locked up or not I'm not sure. Or whether or not the trans is moving above tc stall speed keeping the Rpms up is the other scenario.

i think there is a flag to tell it to keep it locked while off the throttle, but that's about it. To quicken the shifts you need more shift pressure and main line pressure, the adaptive shift stuff is left over from the map days, none of it works on MAF.

Also if you can find that lock tcc on deceleration flag would be awesome!

Ok i will start with upping some of those pressures. And if there is a flag for the lockup on decel?The1 wrote:i think there is a flag to tell it to keep it locked while off the throttle, but that's about it.
