so much more effective.

yeah makes sense. I can't do that in my work car, even though they are convex mirrors they don't adjust out enough, maxed out they still only give me the view as in the bottom row but really far away vision and still just mostly the doors lol. Set in the middle of their travel range im just looking at the doors and can't see anything else lol.

Jap cars for ya.

my car is the same, I can see plenty enough out of it, but still got have the rear of the door and boot in it! .. probably half the issue is how far back I have the seat ... who knows.

I prefer to turn my neck anyways, feel safer!

guessing circa 100 / 110psi on the old 5 litre and black coked up plugs can't be a good thing ....

Ouch.

Shame in NZ, I'd take the V8 off your hands.

had this laying around

only bit of bad news. its auto + diet required.

why. track car. spent today at sandown for the tampered motorsport day. hooked. my mate scared the piss out of me in his R33. we did a 1.22. the speedo was at 7am on the dial / 250+ fuck me. loved it. although in the VT i am glad i won't be that quick.

couple of nice units today. good old VN 5 speed running on 15's. wasn't quick, but, the dude was having fun. vt wagon with magnusson supercharged LS something. fucking hammered. sounded like sex. spastic jza80 supra with a keep small animals and children away sized turbo on it. quick as hell. blue ute, holden new thing. also supercharged. fucking hammered. constantly came out of the final corner onto the straight sideways. was epic. boring ferrari. some space frame thing with a yamaha R1 bike engine in it too.

Sounds like good fun ahead. I once read somewhere (never verified it myself) that ditching the VT doors for VY will yield a decent weight saving. Maybe something to look into for track work.

as in the metal? or the trims? trims weigh a few kg. good to know though.

i have planned for it SSL springs and shocks. so i have 50mm KYB for the rear, going to get some koni adjustable for the front and king SSL.
plans are to make a rear tower brace triangulated to the floor to help stiffen that up and get one of the factory braces for the front.
i have a big fat front whiteline swaybar but want to drop it and see how it behaves with the bracing added.
oh any thoughts on the bar behind the seats on the floor or is it more worthwhile just throwing a cage together out of chromoly tube?

at present swapping the vt1 arms for vt2 onward - man that balljoint sucks arse to get out. need to build a press.

plans for brakes will be r33 skyline on the 296mm rotors up front. with ventilated rears and stock calipers. slotted, not drilled.

diff will get a mini spool.

exhaust will be 2.5" nothing special free flowing. that said power i'm not overly bothered with. want to learn to drive before i look to more power.

thoughts / comments / flames, come at me.
