hey ant i will give it a go but do you think that a low-med bcm would reconize that command and switch on the air via serial data wire as they are setup to start up via 12v input from standard air con switch and would you know if the low-med bcm has a sdi chip in them if not to shaugh would you know what they look like so i can look in a bcm and see but will let you know how i go.

I dont know, i dont have a VT, nor do I know much about the BCM levels. I would guess that the code, I/O logic and the relays are the same, and any BCM would switch when triggered by the voltage or the ALDL command. What I can tell you is that if you connect the green/white on to the vehicle data bus, you wont break anything, but you'll have to try it to see if it actually works unless someone with more knowledge than me joins this thread.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396
Re: climate control sdi info to turn on aircon
Hi ant thanks for that i was also looking at maybe a relay that can be triggered to turn on of 3.4 v for 2 sec and when you wont to switch it of you apply 3.4v sec ,do you know of and relay that can be trigered by 3.4v for 2 sec and will stay on until 3.4v is appied again to turn it off as i could do it that way if there is a relay that will turn on and off by a 3.4v .
if you know the name of a relay let me know.
cheers chris

Re: climate control sdi info to turn on aircon
I have emailed Chris.
the SDI chip is Serial Data Interface.
all modules have one.
there are small differences in the setup from manual ac to auto (climate)
i have sent you some info to help you sort it out.
Cheers Rob
