Yeah sheet metal was the story. I had Koni reds on my VR with king springs and upgraded front sway bar. It drove beautiful really makes a difference.

I would think the doors would be more heavily reinforced to meet safety requirements?Dylan wrote:Sounds like good fun ahead. I once read somewhere (never verified it myself) that ditching the VT doors for VY will yield a decent weight saving. Maybe something to look into for track work.
either way, they are both heavy bastards.

Dylan did the bar help oversteer and balance it all up?
I would have thought so too Vlad. Yeah. VERY heavy.

I'm no handling expert but it was very responsive, less movement of the steering wheel and the car felt like it sat more flat on corners. The whole suspension steering was in very good condition too no worn parts guess it all ads up.

Re: Gregs Fleet
don't write the v6 off just yet
I have a mate with a VX V6 auto, he uses it for hill climbs and just generally fun track days etc, its just been lowered, decent rubber and gutted of non-required bits, at the local hill climb track it was as fast as the V8 versions!
failing that just bolt a turbo onto it

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Every thing, from A/C to sound deadening, dash is only the shell, lowered with wider wheels, ours is auto which we have been tinkering with for awhile (thanks Yoda) to get it to hold gears. I certainly makes you wee a little bit.....
