Re: Gregs Fleet
100kg isnt that heavy to lift, average guy should be able to dead lift 150kg, but try to carry one for 100m+ in your arms, you can certainly do that with a T5. On your shoulder its even easier lol But no fucking way with an auto unless you are some body building roid freak.

Re: Gregs Fleet
I found a manual, depending on the TC size it says 80-90Kg, the 2nd smallest TC is the heaviest one, the 258mm one. Not sure what source is correct, might have to weigh one for real.

Re: Gregs Fleet
yeah thats one of the primary reasons they are so popular as a conversion unit in other cars, very light weight and compact and awesome performance. The yanks and pommies love a T5 conversion.

Re: Gregs Fleet
hahahahaha ok, lets see a video of you lifting a 150kg worth of something off the ground. there is no way an average person can lift 100kg let alone 150. im an average guy and my limit is about 50kg to lift off the ground, even then its back fucking time.vlad01 wrote:100kg isnt that heavy to lift, average guy should be able to dead lift 150kg, but try to carry one for 100m+ in your arms, you can certainly do that with a T5. Re: Gregs Fleet
So my brain got the better of me and I just had to know
my brother goes home from work for lunch (yes he's lucky to live 5 minutes from work) and I asked him to get his scales and T700 weighed up just for curiosity purposes.
about the only thing you'd add to this is 5kg for oil otherwise its a stock as a rock complete box and converter.
if you wanted to get really anal you could add another 5kg for flex plate, although I doubt its that much, so 85kg max ....

Re: Gregs Fleet
didn't think they were much heavier than that, as ive carried a 4L60e before with no converter straight out the car and i doubt i could lift much more than 50kg and also being able to man handle it under the car up onto the jack to lift it up.

Re: Gregs Fleet
and I'm guessing the V8 box wouldn't be a lot different, slightly larger bell housing and a bit more in the converter, but otherwise pretty much the same box.
