Hey Chaps
I'm making up a ALDL cable using a FT232 board to read/test my VR V8 Auto into VK Calais.
Quick question: Does the Diagnostic "Test" Enable pin need a 10K resistor to ground to switch enable it and get the data stream flowing?

Found the answer:
"Early ECUs produced a fixed 8192 ALDL data stream when the user placed a 10k ohm resistor between ALDL connector pins A and B. Later ECUs added internal receive circuitry (the SXR Delco/Delphi transceiver chip) for enhanced capabilities, and their firmware was upgraded too. Software can be used to enable the 8192 ALDL data stream from these later ECUs."

Yep that is correct. I would recommend putting 11p on the memcal and using that adx as its the most featured you'll find.
