You need to consider that the kinjflow calculator is taking the map sensor into consideration and even though your not tuning boost it will be running extremely rich. Fit a 2 or 3 bar map sensor and start tuning from idle up. It sounds to me like it flooded and might also need the plugs dried out before a restart.

Checking out the siemens deka 60lbs injectors now. They seem to be E85 compatable too so thats a bonus.

It'll be a while until i buy them because I bought a VU ute 5.7L yesterday :D roadworthy is coming up
The ute will be a daily and I can work on the VP on weekends without having to slap it back together for work on monday haha

Yes the Spark plugs were WET when they came out yesterday, put fresh ones in and when starting it blew a whole lot of fuel vapor from exhaust. The weekend's coming up which means more mucking around with cars lol. It's all good practice i guess :punk:

Merry xmas to all. Hope santa brought you lots of tyres, transmissions and turbos!

Alright, so I've got the car running and been driving around in it.

Has anybody else noticed the Buick seems to idle, drive and accelerate better one the BLCD enhanced (this is ecotec right?) than on APNX ?

Made a few changes on the old VP

I've fixed up the Battery voltage offset table. (set them to 60lbs siemens deka's)

Using a 2 bar Map sensor. The 20-100kpa /boost tables are merged in the last / first columns for a smooth transition into boost.

Injector - Injector bias add-on vs Injector pulse width table is now set to zero. Read this on here

Also experimented using the BLCD's VE Tables in the APNX tune but it didnt seem to help :?

I would like to run the BLCD tune all the time but im missing features like Torque converter lockup and such.

Obviously missing something here. Can someone chime in ? anyone else noticed this?

Thanks in advance!

Firstly, tidy looking setup!

Now the difference between APNX & BLCD is early v's late models, so APNX series 1 VN V6, then BLCD is actually a VR V6....

they should both work the same with the auto lockup, but there will be differences in spark and VE between the two (do a compare of the two in tunerpro to see all the changes)

general rule of thumb is if you have a S1 V6 use APNX and if you have later motor then use BLCD, and from what I can see of your inlet manifold you have a series 2 motor, so BLCD should be the go.

I'm not sure what else to suggest, if all the wiring to the box is right and you reach the correct speed and throttle position the lockup should work ?

Thanks mate, all build on hungover sundays with mates around!

Thats really helpful! i was stuck on which one i should be using for ages. I often get lost in all the info on here and TP. I will focus on getting the BLCD tune spot on.

Cheers bud

Thanks holden 202. The TCC lockup and unlock is definetly working. Just drove from outer east Melbourne down to Rosebud for new years, she went well.

When the engine goes from vacuum to boost, right at the 0 psi mark on the gauge. Theres a big splutter and hesitation from the engine. Has this happened to others with the BLCD tune?

As soon as its in the boost region, its smooth sailing. I'm thinking its a miss match with the Main Spark Advance Table or A/F ratio table but nothing is jumping out at me :wtf:

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

The boost VE starts at 100kpa from memory, check they match the main VE table.
