VN V8 or V6 Memcal ID

Post by VSClubby355 »

Hi guys,

Pulled a memcal out of a VN V6. Code ATFY4410 and V6 knock filter so nothing unusual but the Netres are blue. My understanding that V6 were black and V8 blue. Is there something I've missed as I'm still very new to this

well it looks like the knock filter has been soldered on to begin with .... also check the netres pins, see if any of them have been cut ?

From what I've noticed VR/VS V8 only ran the blue netres.

Nah, no pins cut. They're all intact

you can measure the pins to check if it's a V6 or V8, all the blue ones ive seen are V8, that knock board is prob V6 all the V8 ones ive seen start with 1F code.

All early ATFY4410 memcals had brown bodies and black netres. Your memcal is what I call "New stock" so has a black body and blue neters same as VR V6 BLCD5077
