I did a bit more, have some of the rear quarter done.

Got all my plated stuff plus a few random extras? seems I got a few bits from some other job mixed in with mine.

Also I got my CPUs, installing win2k as I post this. Formatting... formatting.........

Going great so far, windows installed and just doing all the driver and service pack 5. In task manager it shows up as 2 CPUs Something I have never seen before on such an old setup let alone win2k. This system is very snappy I might add.

Anyone have a win2k compatible sound card? I think some of my booting issues I had earlier and oddly when I installed the new CPUs I could not get the system to power on at all until I removed the SB live 24bit. Now the card doesn't even detect in any slot so I think the SB died. The main processor on it used to get real hot how it doesn't even get warm at all, like its not on, I did think it was odd how damn hot it got, much more than the CPU or GPU and its just a sound card.

I double checked the PCI bus by installing a heap of random NICs into them and they installed perfectly all by themselves. So well and truly the shitbox sound blaster kicked the bucket lol.

Good news is everything else is working smooth and I got the old games all working other than sound, and wow! talk about a fast PC!!! this would of been killer in the day.

Anyways I thought I show the setup, but now its minus 1 stick of ram and a dead SB card. I found it doesn't like 4 gigs of ram with any expansion card installed. Must be a 32bit, or possibly a bios issue addressing the ram or at least limiting it like its suppose to like mentioned in the manual. Says when 4 gigs are install only 3.5-3.8 is available by the bios depending on the add on cards due to a certain about needing to be reserved for the PCI devices. No mention of a memory fault if more than than 3~ gigs installed? oh well 32 bit can only address about 3.5 gigs on average.

wait? DERP!! I forgot about the GPU having 256Mb or vram. Well no wonder it chucks a spaz when I install the GPU I'm trying to make the system address over the 4gig theoretical limit which has to include all forms of memory, from ram, vram, bios, roms etc... Which all have to be addressable.

So I fitted the last of the fasteners and bits that depended on the bits I got plated. So the TPS is now fitted, with the plated stop screws and spring. The original factory flanged nuts for the engine mounts were done, also the rear lifting bracket bolts and dipstick mounting bolt. Last official thing for the engine and box now left is the dust cover which I decided to blast again and e-coat instead of just paint due to its harsh environment it lives in. Once that is done I can proceed to mating the 2 together

Just those little details you know.

very nice vlad. what gloves do you use when you wipe the paint off ? mine disintegrate real quick.
