Re: Vlad's rides thread
Nah I'm talking about the hard as diamond black paint they dress the channel with. The black rubber stuff is actually urethane, very same as sikaflex. Though they do use a small blob of butyl at the corners of the firewall and the car body as they are separate sections.
Anyway at the secret other pick a part HQ and I went to managed to tick of 2 other items on the list. control arm bolts for the samples to have repro'd from and a mint battery tray!!
Majorly stoked about the battery tray. Its out of a VS and oddly I found later it has 2 horn mounts compared to just one VN and VP have, not sure about VR?

Re: Vlad's rides thread
I fibreglassed the battery tray in my old VN, no more rust and protects it a bit better than paint from battery acid etc.

Re: Vlad's rides thread
Organizing the samples to repro off.
Top row 4 of each per car
2nd row, 2 of each
Last, 1 of, not see but there would also be an extra metal lock nut for the panhard bar.
Will break this down to quantities of each unique part as clearly there is few multiples of the same washes, nuts and a bolt.
Also gutters all done! So I need only to finish the fuel flap and give some areas at the front of the car a wipe down with thinners as I skipped a few spots doing it only roughly as I had concentrated on just removing the paint at that stage. Should be a 10-30min job after I make a tool to thread cloths through some tight spots.
Then just empty the boot and give the whole thing a vac and wash out the door cavities that are a bit filthy and its on the truck by then. Will see if I can get it going there on Friday.
