Thanks guys....sorry about the trouble Holden202...winzip stopped working and Charlay86 (page 5 of this thread) had suggested 7zip....since got them all working again.....noticed the one o2 sensor seemed volatile but assumed it was because it was cold....it is a 2 wire and not heated but it never seemed to settle down...will check the site suggested...will also log the engine again when its warmer and check the difference.....

Thanks Holden202...confusing  but considerng its sensitive to oxygen levels in the exhaust It would be all over the place....and also, the O2 sensors are 4 wire heated as you stated not the 2 wire non-heated types I mistakingly thought they were.......

just so you know .... when the engine is in closed loop the o2 sensor volts swing from side to side and you should get something very similar to this - bottom graph light green trace:

Image

when its in open loop it will be more of a straight line that will go up and down as AFR's do but should be more like you see from the rpms etc not like the swinging above.

the fact that one of yours is swinging and the other one isn't tells you its in closed loop but only one oxygen sensor is working as it should.

this picture below, bottom monitor, has in light blue is the commanded AFR's and the dark blue line thats squiggly but roughly following it is sorta what you should expect to see from an o2 sensor in open loop. (in my case thats wideband log but it gives you the idea)

Point taken...mine is different..the one is definitely non-responsive..looking at your monitor, the PCM appears to "hunt" stoich when in closed loop...is that correct??...thanks for the additional info...I datalogged a warmer engine and it managed to maintain stoich for quite some time....if there are any other problems or issues you can see, let me know...I am not entirely sure of what I'm looking at but its opening up a whole new world of info :D ...great job on the dashboard Jayme..its fantastic!!...

Thankyou.....the warm engine is the shorter of the two...I followed the same route as with the cold engine.....the other is longer....went on to a local highway for a short time to get above 60kmhr.....

"edit note:...my apologies...just realised that I have zipped the wrong file..this highway one is really long...the one I mean't to put on is much shorter  "

maybe someone can inform me if im going blonde at the moment .... i was looking at the long log and i've noticed 2 minutes into it, the car takes off from a stop and pretty much as soon as it takes off its lean, as in 15.7 afr is being commanded and the o2 that is working is below 100mv .... this stays like that till decel

to me that doesn't seem right, nothing should be commanding lean cruise till you've been moving for 150 seconds and doing over 78km i think it is ... so it should be that .... so what is it ?

if those numbers are right, this thing must go like a sack of shit when thats happening!

I'm not expert but isn't the O2 sensor voltage the yellow line in the second graph you have put up which doesn't get below 400 mV

I finally found the adx file :D to have a look at the log. There are alot of error occurring in the log also the o2 ready flag turns off and on and the cylinder select is changing from 6 to 8 alot.

Edit: I don't think VsV6engineandtrans1_5tp5.adx is the correct file what file were you using holden 202
