Well I have a complete Z31 on the way. A friend of mine was offered it, and he wants some parts from it for his Z31, I'll be using the front spindles, and a few other parts for my Z. I'll have larger wheels to put some decent rubber on now. Just need to get to a place I can start stripping it.

Re: Six_Shooter's "little" project v.240z
Been a while since the last post on this thread....
After the last post I had really just drove the 240 the way it was until about November, then it came off the road for Winter, which was then too cold to work on the 240, due to not having the insulation in the garage finished yet.
Anyway, so spring came and it was then that I decided to actually do some of the needed work on it, like replace the timing chain, re-seal the oil pan, work on the 5 lug conversion, etc.
Well other projects took priority, so mine has taken way too long to get together.
I decided a couple weeks ago that I would just borrow some 4 lu wheels and put the 4 Lug parts back on so I can drive it, the 5 Lug conversion was taking too long. I sold all of my 4 lug wheels, so the reason I needed to borrow some 4 lug wheels.
I was able to get the timing chain swapped, oil pan re-sealed, newgasket on the cam cover, what a PITA that was, I've never had to remove such a stuck on gasket ever before. New air filter, and proper crank case vent bung now, painted some related parts, R200 diff with 3.90 gears (originally an R180 with 3.54 gears), CV axles, with custom made CV companion flange adaptors. I also installed the MSA Type 2 front air dam, and BRE style rear spoiler. I drove it for the first time in about 8 months last night. I had planned on driving it tonight, but installed the aforementioned BRE spoiler instead.
Anyway, here are some pictures:
Rear suspension brackets all sand blasted:

Brackets all painted:

No Diff or brackets:

R200 diff painted and cover re-installed:

R180 to R200 comparison:

R200 and brackets all installed:

CV joint swap:
Welded CV plates to original companion flanges:

Close of up my TIG welding:

Just a picture of the modified flanges with a stock one:

CV shaft installed:

I decided to add a proper crankcase EVAC bung to the inlet to to the turbo, especially since I was replacing the filter and didn't want to drill a hole in this one for the hose like I had in the last one:

Inside:

A shot from earlier tonight:

I am still working on this:

The gears, new timing chain, and maybe the new filter have really changed the way this drives, it needs a new tune, pretty badly, I'll work on that tomorrow.

Re: Six_Shooter's "little" project v.240z
I got this on Monday.
I have it working with $59. Craig and JR have been great to work with for firmware updates and such to get this squared away.
Anyway onto the pictures...
I was giddy even at this point...

Unpacking...

All the wonderful new toys.. There's some other stuff that I ordered from Moates in there as well, not just the TV II

The Tuner View II itself. Craig put this in a case for me, with a suction cup. It can be ordered with or without the case.

This is so new that Craig doesn't have ALDLink stickers yet, so there is the Xtreme ALDL sticker on it, which I think is a more fitting name for this than the orginal product. LOL

This is what is different from the Xtreme ALDL, normally there would be an USB A connector here:

A picture in my car.

I have since changed the way I mount it in the car, because the suction cup started falling off. Because of this I think I have found exactly where I am going to install it.
I should have more pictures later.

It looks nice! It says on the moats pages that it'll work with GM OBD1 cars, and that $8D is tested and you are running with $5D. How do you set it up for a different code base? If someone here bought one would we just write our own definition from the $12P adx, or would someone else (JT?) need to do it for us?

Re: Six_Shooter's "little" project v.240z
antus, hes running it on $59 not $5D
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: Six_Shooter's "little" project v.240z
Yes, I am using it with $59.
In the TunerView II software main set-up page, there is a drop down menu that allows you to select what code mask you are using, or tuning software, if you have a Honda/Acura, like Neptune, Crome, $8D, $59, etc.
At this point, JR, is the only person that can add anything, be it new code masks, or values to existing supported masks. On the upside he does seem quite willing to add more support, just needs to be a worthwhile addition, and having a beta tester would also help.
It would be nice to be able to add our own values and new code support, but not something that would keep me from buying this again.

Ahh sorry, I did realise it was a boosted $59, $5D must have come out of my fingers from habit! Is JR from HRTuning.com? I've just contacted them to see if they are interested in adding OSE12P support, Im interested in running one of these in my gemini.

Antus did you hear back from HRTuning about adding support for OSE12P?
i am very interested in one of these.
