5L efi Bosch ignition module transistor upgrade

Hello Guys,

Trying to get my head around this currently have a ignition module with a BU941 darlington transistor is it possible to change it to a IGBT - insulated gate bipolar transistor of simlar specs or is there more to it

I think Hoopstar (?spelling) is the man that does module repairs.

Hardware isnt my speciality but i'd be looking and comparing datasheets for automotive 600v 11a mosfets to replace and upgrade a bu941. Not sure if this search link is going to work on another device but
