NICE ONE MATE,
on my blower set up i pretty sure it came with an 8 psi pulley and on the microtech it has 3 dials the first is when the injectors cut in on boost (set that one at about 5 psi0 NOT SURE WHAT THE SECOND DIAL DOES AND THE THIRD ON IS SET AT 50% FUEL AIR MIXTURE, ALL THE DIALS ARE RANGING 1 THRU TO 9 DOES THIS SOUND ABOUT RIGHT? JUST THAT I HAVNT HAD IT OUT AND HAD A GOOD RUN IN IT YET COS IM JUST FINE TUNING IT, THE SOUND IS AWSOME BUT...
IM SO GLAD TO BE ABLE TO LISTEN TO GUYS WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE ON ABOUT INSTEAD OF BEING FED SH$# BY IDIOTS,

Re: greenhorn help
dont like the sounds of that lol cutting in at 5psi - so from 1-4psi it will be running lean. (shudder) trust me when you throw that piece of junk away and feel how smooth and powerful it is youll never look back.

Re: greenhorn help
yeah i agree, if you can set it to cut in as soon as boost comes on thats the best option!
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: greenhorn help
it depends if it just whacks in a set amount of fuel after the cut in or if it graduates it as the boost increases :S

Re: greenhorn help
so when you guys are mentioning 2 bar programs and service numbers what does that mean? purchasing a new memcal with those specs or tuning the program to my existing memcal? sorry but this is all new to me. is the program a do it yourself or done by pros? i would love to do away with the "piggy back" but there again wat does that involve just a download?

Re: greenhorn help
as Jayme says with VL400's $11 still in the works as i see it you have 2 options:
1. get the memcal modified to allow you to run the 30lb injectors and leave the blower setup with its piggy back
2. spend alot of money getting a program like kalmaker or such ..... which then allows you to funny modify/tune it.
both options can be DIY but that is provided you know what your doing. If your not totally up on tuning a car and the ins and outs of efi then it might be best to get a pro to tune it, that said, its alot more dollars.
to do away with the piggy back your going to need to change some things, ie. need a 2 bar map sensor, like said above you may need bigger injectors than the 30lb's and then theres the computer re-mapping side of things to think about.

Re: greenhorn help
thanks 202, at the moment i might stay with the piggy back.
do i just send the memcal away to be modified or does it need to be done in car,as you said before i just want to get it tuned and running for the 30lb injectors

Re: greenhorn help
i have just been looking at the kalmaker street pro 3 package for about $1200
if i was to purchase this would it be a straight fit without any major changes besides somebody to set up and tune
