load up the programming software and select the chip type, it will tell you how to insert the chip ... in one corner of the chip it will have a dot, this is the thing you need to get in the right spot as per the programmer picture.

What version of windows? When you do write to it write the stacked bin.

win7, ive got it connecting now but im having troubles writing the stacked bin to the chip, when i check it or try to erase it it give an error message "function not supported or chip does not need erase

Doesn't need erased just select ds1245y load the bin and program and verify
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

tried to write, that worked, when i tried to verify it gave me a error "verify failed,address=0x000000,device=0x37,buffer=0x00"

Shuffle it round in the zif socket and reclose it and try again

mate you are worth your weight in beer, just put the chip back in and bam!!!! car started now to tune.

Good shit now the fun begins. Wonder why it didn't work to start with antus would of tested it before posting. but all's well she's up and running the forums active and a few smart guys on here most hours of the day to help with issues

I'd blame auspost's scanner's. I had a DS1230 DOA once and a few memcals.
