Or else get the BCM to go with it, or reprogram the PROM in the PCM to ignore the anti-theft enable?

can a PCM be swapped easily?
If I swap a PCM (with one from wreckers or eBay) do I need to get it matched to BCM by dealer workshop?

Re: can a PCM be swapped easily?
VT and later it needs to be matched to the BCM. VX/VY flash PCMs can be cloned via the flashtool to overcome this problem, on VT there is currently no free tool (although the flashtool will be able to shortly) and its a visit to someone with a tech-2 or disable VATS in the memcal yourself.
