Re: Time to ask the brains trust.. Turbo 186 $11p
good to hear an update man, I know you've had all sorts of fun getting it working at its best. I was watching street machine drag challenge with interest and didn't ever see much of it!
best I got with my old combo was 366hp at wheels on 20psi with methanol, but I never got to really tune the timing, I would have loved to see how much more it had (it may well have been on the max timing already) but I was on the limit of 80lb injectors and methanol!

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Cheers buddy.
Yeah DC was tough. Car ran well and had no issues with engine or ECU it was all transmission related. Snapped converter bolts on the first run, ruined the trans input shaft and converter. Getting things sorted slowly so shld have a decent run soon. I managed 330 HP but ran out of injectors on the ethanol. More results to come

I sure hope so mate. I'll try to post a pic of the dno run here.
Re: Time to ask the brains trust.. Turbo 186 $11p
So when I went on the dyno I completely forgot to take any pics of my run. Luckily stumbled across another fellas car on Facebook that has been to the same shop, Gawler Mechanical.
The yellow run on the pic is my last run showing the car leaning out where I was 100% DC on the injectors and we had tried to fix it by fudging the fuel pressure.
All the other runs are another fellas boosted 179 with draw through. I'm thinking if I didn't have the rich spot during the ramp up and more injectors it should keep climbing a bit further

yeah you certainly dont want to get much leaner at the top end!

I had a single walbro 255. Now I have a walbro 460. It likes being around 11.0-11.5

yeah i'd say 11.5 would be my pick too!
the beauty of alcohol is you can run it on the fat side and it doesn't hurt power as much as petrol!

It sure does like the Ethanol.. I like the smell of it myself too haha.
Ill keep you all in the loop on how it goes. Hopefully closer to 400 once tuned on ethanol and then time to play with nitrous!

Its a good thing that ethanol smells good here in Aus as all other counties except Brazil complain theirs smells like rotten compost or landfill lol.
Makes sense as ours and Brazil are made from sugar cane while the other counties are usually biomass (waste vegetables, fruit, grain and green waste) sometimes mixed in with corn in case of the US.
You can really smell the sweet sugary smell of our ethanol fuel and I agree, fucking smells awesome
