Should I disable the knock sensor

Post by kelvin »

I want to diasable the knock retard. Is it a case of reducing the value in "Maximum knock spark retard" to 0 degrees. Why? Well I don't want to be putting in lots of advance only to have the computer pull it back without me knowing it. Which raises the subject of the output from the knockboard. I believe this varies between 0v and 5v. I was going to monitor this during tuning. How do I get an output to monitor.
Or I can keep the retard in, but I will need to know when this is happening so I can do the corrections.

there is a retard value in the data stream to watch, can clearly see it on the graphs. I wouldnt turn it off but if you want to, you change the knock retard minimum cooland temp to 152
