hi all
i when to see a company to tune my vr stroker v6 and they give me the bull shit story about putting a aftermaket ecu in and wire it up with ls1 coils and dyno it for the best price they could ......$7000 so i nicely told them to go jump and a chip torque dealer pretty much said it was not a wrx so he was not interested so i am wondering if anyone can help me out and tell me what i need to tune it myself (software and hardware wise) i was thinking if i start with the std tune and slowly modify it then that would save me 7000 thanks
thanks matty

I don't think he does his own work, I did a bit for him a few years ago.
He use to run datto's on nitros last i heard he started racing ski boats.
If there's any one in the area he'll know.

Re: vr v6 tune help plz
ok well if you want to do it yourself theres plenty of info here to do it, and the required hardware.
firstly, what tranny you got behind the motor ?
i guess the next question is do you want to learn to tune it yourself or would you prefer it to be tuned for you ?
if you want to do it yourself then you'll need some of VL400's hardware (see the for sale section) and read the getting started guide at the bottom of my signature .... if you have questions post em up and we'll help you out as best we can.

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

One of these Cables an NVRAM conversion kit, 5 minutes witha soldering iron on your ecm, and bingo...under $280 has a realtime tunable ecu with USB interface.
