Tuning VR V8 AUTO TURBO

What boost are you running . If it were me id take 5 deg timing out from 50 kpa to 100kpa from 800 rpm up ,then very carefully ease boost on while data logging and check knock counts and o2 volts ,then adjust as necessary.

8-10 psi
any help i can get would be grateful

Ah , so there isnt .You should definitly get a knock sensor and fit it to the block ,fit a knock filter to the memcal and enable the knock sensor in the tune then .

should i just get a vr hsv 185 auto pcm with the knock already with it?

Yeah your not wrong there delcowizard , rare as rocking horse shit ,he might have to buy a hsv memcal from holden.
Also ,fingers crossed vl400 will be bringing out his $11P custom code in the not to distant future.
