Starting going through it, Alternator wasn't charging, only barely holding battery voltage, this car has one wire going to alternator from battery and another going to the main system, clamp meter is only showing 3amps from alternator being drawn and 8 from system. Alternator is a pain to change! The spring belt tensioner is a pain! Using a spring compressor to get it back into place. All charging fine now and at 14volts under load
Atleast this car you can take the flaps off underneath and get half decent access to front of the engine, id still hate to do a water pump or timing chain on this thing.

Key is stuffed so need to program a new one with tech2 but i need the pin code, car didn't come with manual or anything, bit of searching around if you pull the Siemens BCM from engine bay you can read the eeprom and get the pin. It's a 93c66. Pin was easy to find offset 52 and also 15F in plain text in ANSI view. All done!!

Anyone know how to read, write ECU in these? Im guessing MPPS V18 cable from some reading. Havn't been able to find anything for winols or tunerpro xdf. They are supposedly a bosch ME 7.6.1 ???
Ive pulled a same ECU from the wrecker and got pin code with this one supposedly.
Bosch 0261207721 is part also.

Re: The1's Daily Daily Barina XC
thanks guys, looks like were onto something, barina on right and 2004 vz on left. all pin markings and everything are the same. Sounds like time to make up a loom and try reading one and flashing vz.
