VSl67 Auto Bin To T5 any tips
Hey All,
I was wondering I've got a mate that wants to convert his VS l67 auto thats been tuned to a t5 manual, is there any tips on how many variables I have to change or any bins to look at that have been converted?

take the current bin, tick the manual transmission flag > done
got a VX L67 running on a T5 in a mazda ute on a stock DDRJ bin with the manual trans flag ticked and vats off and it runs great.

Jayme, Surely there has to be more to do, what about all the flags to stop eng light?
I guess with your conversion you may not have check light wired in?
There would be other variable that may need to be fudged to?

i believe the changing off the auto -> manual flag does all that for you .... Jayme will be able to confirm.

yep, I had it confirmed by VL400.. that one flag disables all of the auto code, the CEL codes, everything.
you are right, I dont have the CEL wired in (it comes off the bcm and we have no bcm) but we have confirmed codes with the scantool and none (of the auto ones) are coming up. weve just has some problems maxxing out the MAF and getting the maf out of range DTC.

How easy is that then, all those I obviously changed in my car for no reason!

too much effort for now... im gonna start by installing the 74mm maf and getting the maf tables set correctly for it.

I thought even with the bigger maf, they will max out pretty quick too?
Sorry to be so annoying but I know with my car I obviously turned off a lot of flags I didn't need to but there was a setting to change to go from low resolution auto vss to hi res vss for manuals does this need to be set correctly & then there was a vss flag for these too!
Sorry I'm finding it so hard to believe just to change it to manual there's no other variables to change?

hey all good.
I changed the Manual trans flag, the manual VSS flag and the VATS flag and burnt it exactly like that and it worked.
just got a DTC for no BCM found. turned off that dtc and thats exactly how it runs. to be honest I dont even think he has the t5 vss hooked up. (tho ill have to check)
all ive done since then is reduce the last column of timing as it was pinging at 10psi boost bue to the spark map ending before that (and the massive heat due to no intercooler at that boost)

There are difference between a manual and auto cal, but most are drive quality related - you would hardly notice most of them.
