What you'll find is that the max mg/cyl will happen near peak torque and not peak power.
This means you'll have problems more through the midrange rpm high and loads more than at high rpm.
Peak torque occurs where the cylinder filling is at a maximum +/- a bit due to frictional losses, ie. most bang per engine revolution.
Peak power is created where you have most bang per time, higher the rev's more bangs in a given time, more power.
