Re: PCM Hammer - new ls1 flash tool
That looks messed up. First bytes are avt protocol length. Looks like you have prio device dest src mode submode twice for some reason. Theres an extra 10 f0 36 in there. 36 80 means upload and execute. 36 00 means just upload.

my bad accidentally pasted it twice when doing colors
and yes im using an avt852 that i usually use for winflash
post below is from time I hit write buttom till after first data block is written
so guessing its kernel load and first 4k data block
fyi this is only the write side of things

Well thats a curly question. We cant just use it and if we can learn from it at all would vary country by country. And if you can use it in yours, can the software be used in another? Generally, if you were to do that, a clean room approch would required. But i am not a lawyer, and its a lot safer to not use it at all, which i would recommend. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clean_room_design

Re: PCM Hammer - new ls1 flash tool
didnt mean the kernel it doesnt write what i need anyway, more along lines of data for where to load the kernel. you told me a while back that was one of the things we would need, a place in ram to load kernel.
after tinkering with all the checks in hammer i got this log

Re: PCM Hammer - new ls1 flash tool
Cool so thats a pc side problem but its passed the unlock. What happens if you send the normal kernel? Does it respond that its running? Can it ID the flash memory?

Re: PCM Hammer - new ls1 flash tool
That kinda looks like you ran the EXE directly from the zip file.
Try unzipping everything into a new directory, and run PcmHammer.exe from there.

Re: PCM Hammer - new ls1 flash tool
Hi all,
Looks like someone has made some progress with the V6 PCMs!
Hopefully you will continue making progress as there are many of these vehicles on the road.
I for one look forward to being able to tinker with the GM 3400; such as the one in the Olds Alero, Pontiac Grand AM etc.
Mike
