As some of you may know i have a Kelpie dog that loves hanging out in the shed, i guess you could say he is the foreman for this trailer build and he is a yuppie foreman i reckon. Looked up after welding something to see this so quickly grabbed the camera to snap it!! i often see him sitting with his front legs crossed, its such a crackup and hense why i call him a yuppie!

oh and just so you know, the seat hes sitting on is a set of SAAS seats i had in the torana, once i sold it i made a frame to mount the seats for the shed!

well anyways thats enough for this year, time to go and get pissed and work on it next year :punk:

Happy New Year to all!!

couldn't help myself, wanted to test the draw bar to see how much in bent when the car is on it :)

Image

i put the back wheels of the car right up against the front of the trailer and it didn't really move much, but that is also with the engine at the other end of the trailer, so i am going to add a brace under the draw bar just for piece of mind if nothing else!

got to work on some brakes and lights then try and get it registered!

Good work mate - no mucking around. Looks like you've got a fine mate to hang out in the shed with ya too - i hope he's trained to put those crossed paws over his eyes when your welding.
Happy New Year

75x50x3 is pretty light for a long drawbar like that, and those welds across the tops of the drawbar in the pic above have created a substantial weak point.
You would have been much better off welding triangular plates onto the sides of the drawbar/underneath of the front crossmember instead.
