bummer not to easy then i just presumed it would be up the aldl stream connecting the BCM PCM etc wonder what sort of comms protocol it is

but if you get bcm commands through the aldl port would that not mean that you could send the right command through the aldl port and the bcm would pick it up rather than the pcm ?

The first byte of the standard ALDL is the device ID. You need to be able to sniff the line and find what the ECU and BCM have as device ID's. Tipping the ECU will be $F4.

Perhaps a mode 10 with the correct device ID might do the trick.

When sniffing the data, the device ID of the VR BCM is $BD and the VS BCM is $F1.

the BCm has no bearing on SRS DTC's
a script for efilive could be written i spose...., ill post up some info

Try sending this ALDL packet down the bus:

F2 56 0A AE

AFAIK should work for at least VS and VT
