Sure does, installing an LS1 MAF was another option

Has been going well, fuel savings were not as big as hoped but it has made some difference. Highway economy has improved mostly, fully loaded for camping trips with roof platform stacked up and towing can now get 15L/100. Best unloaded economy has been 12L/100, which for a 2.3ton brick is not too bad I guess.

do you still have any of these? Could it be used to fine tune a PWM signal to a gearbox solenoid?

Yeah still got a few blank boards, but no it wouldnt work on its own for that. Would need a high current driver for the solenoid.

would it be a simple mod or more complicated setup?

Looking at raising the line pressure for a ZF 4HP22 gearbox, the TCM has a PLCC EPROM surface mount and no ones seem to tune them so I though I'd just tweak the pressure solenoid signal to stop the flare. Tried a few 5W resistors which fixed the flare but is a pretty dirty hack and they got hot pretty quick haha.

Would need some sort of MOSFET driver circuit. Not hard but wont be on the same PCB. Would also need some custom firmware.

You would probably be better off initially home brewing something based on an Arduino gear I reckon. Proof of concept and then custom PCB and circuit to neaten it up.

cheers for the advice mate. If I get something working neatly I'll post a thread.

Out of interest what vehicles are those transmissions in your trying to adjust the pressure in?
