Can you now connect to the PCM ok? A get bin is a good test of the interface and setup.
Re: Need help with VX S1 V6 - Error Code 24 and 20
I will take some screen dumps tonight of what is happening.
The flashtool does connect and recognise the VIN etc.
BTW thanks for the help so far guys.

Try FB,56,A,A5
The checksum was incorrect. Can also tick the auto calc frame checksum box to have it calc it for you (the last byte, was A6 but should be A5).

Also when it does work the device does not reply, just the light goes out after key off/key on if the fault is no longer present.

Update.
The fuel gauge isn't calibrated correctly...
In engineering mode it states i have 5 litres left.
Went to fill up the car and only managed to put 52 litres in it. So a total of 57.
VX should be 75 in total?
I'm going to replace my Cluster Unit to if it helps.

The frame you were sending was to clear the airbag fault .dmenace wrote:Update.

When sending that, that will only clear "history" faults. Any "current" faults will need to be fixed before anything else.
Ahh... I thought the device ID was FA for VT/VX commys? Or is that only for the VT?
Also, if your trying to clear faults. There will be NO response!
Try sending: FB,57,01,02,AB
Thatll get back the current faults present. Post back here and should be able to let you know whats giving the SRS problem.
Also.. Im guessing this is a second hand cluster you have in the car? Did anything get calibrated correctly eg speedo, tacho, fuel body type, srs config, lamp configuration ect?

The cluster is the original one that i bought the car with.
Now i'm not exactly sure how good these Autel units are... There suppose to replicate Tech2's.
I'm not sure what exactly he did, he called me saying that the SRS light has appeared and he is receiving a SERV Error on startup after trying to calibrate the fuel gauge.
So i saw what he did with the unit and when trying to reprogram the cluster it kept coming up as V6 Supercharged, we modified this to V6 and now the Tacho on the cluster sits on 2K rpm at idle (engineering mode the car idles normal).
Anyways, i'll send those commands to tonight and order a new cluster that's configured to my car.

Ahhhhh it sounds like hes knackered your cluster config. Some guys have a cluster configuration tool and might be able to load the correct settings back in to it for you, but I dont think there is going to be much you can do about that with free tools. The person here who knows the most about cluster programming is tazzi, who might be able to help. If you replace the cluster try and get one from a vehicle with the same configuration and number of air bags. If the air bag config is not the same you will get the SRS light error.
