for oil lamp just put a VS 5L sender on the oil pump and run a new wire to the dash.

Sorry, forgot to mention I used the VS Series 3 engine harness as I couldn't be bothered figuring out how to adapt the engine loom to the body loom as they use totally different plugs. VT Series 1 V8 and VS Series 3 V8 use the same PCM, slight difference in engine looms but the body loom/bcm is very different.
I should avoid posting anything early in the morning...
In my opinion, even though they are hard to find, the VS 3 engine loom is the easier option for a MAF 5L in a VS. Note they only run one O2 sensor.
Otherwise go with what antus posted.

just finished modifying my vt harness to suit the vs, you are right a lot o messing around thank god for wiring diagrams, ordered a bcm simulator off vl400 and now just need to get a vt 5l pcm/ecu, then plug it in run the last few wires and hopefully it runs
