Re: Results after a "profesional tune"
Not sure what version you used to tell you it's $A5F but it look's like its correct & lines up mostly with CXWL1938, which is strange also why they didn't use the updated version of it!
just the CAL only section does line up but some weird changes in unidentified areas with the XDF I have, which makes me wonder how much they do know.

Re: Results after a "profesional tune"
it should get more around 200kw easy, even relatively mild ecotec can get 200 if the right combo of parts are used. 99% of the time v6 get low power because off the shelf mismatched parts are used.
I once asked a holden v6 builder to get me an idea on what he could do for 160kw one. The answer i got was he can't build them that lower powered lol

Re: Results after a "profesional tune"
Honestly it seems hard to believe with what I've tested on my mainline, it's not even that easy to get to 200rwKw on the mildy enhanced L67 vehicles!
But it seems even more weird with this actual car in the thread as it looks like they've used 1 of the un-released enhanced versions of the VT NA files, with some weird changes!

Re: Results after a "profesional tune"
sorry, i just looked back though my email.
it was in rwhp not kw. But was said a baby engine package 215 ~rwhp but as high as 290rwhp na if I wanted, what I was quoted was 250 ~ rwhp which is 186 rwkw.
to get closed to 300 rwhp they said I need one of these lol

I honestly dont think its unreasonable, any engine should be able to pull 100/L with decent work. 200 rwkw would be about 350 hp at the crank.
its like most people think you can't get much over 100hp out of a vw kombi engine but there is an developer who build them as high as 280hp N/A and dont turn much over 6k.
But thats what it takes, an engine developer not and engine builder.

Yeah thats true, it all comes down to how much you want to spend on a V6, the only real answer is CUBE's or FI!
I just know on my Dyno it's not very realistic to tell a customer that 200rwKw is capable from a NA V6!

Re: Results after a "profesional tune"
yeah most I seen are barely above stock.
Even come across those COME 4.2L stroker packages?
4.2L, head work and their custom cam. Only just over 200 kw at the flywheel, got to be kidding right? Not only that nearly every v6 from them throw a rod lol.
Sad thing is a stock one with decent tune and exhaust can make 160-170kw at the flywheel.
I saw a good little documented L36 in the states where some couple of guys really did some R&D on them and got about 270 at the wheels in a rwd pontiac. it all came down to the custom cam profile and proper head work, the engine was otherwise pretty mild (stock short block) and it didn't rev to the moon, bit over 6k iirc. That a combo you can just use straight from there page.

Re: Results after a "profesional tune"
Changes from stock (excluding vats disable and and checksum) - displayed values are not absolute, they are differences...
It looks to me like they have pulled fuel out, and made a fair few changes to the spark map. Ive not tuned car like this enough to comment. Is this expected?
vt1ger, can you warm it up, then start logging it, drive it up the road with gentle acceleration, then cruise for a bit, then do a harder launch (if your happy its safe to do so)? then post up that log for comment?
