I tested the injectors for flow some time ago,& come up with a figure of 450cc/min using std pump.

ok well that works out to be 42lb .... in which case .056 should be a good starting point for injector constant.

also the following might need to be changed:

Map A: Initial Stage Crank Base Pulse Width vs Coolant Temp
Map A: Second Stage Crank Base Pulse Width vs Coolant Temp
Map B: Initial Stage Crank Base Pulse Width vs Coolant Temp
Map B: Second Stage Crank Base Pulse Width vs Coolant Temp

what i'd suggest is get the original v6 numbers for these and offset them to suit the new injector constant .... which is about 2.3 times different to the orignal .127 or whatever it is ....

if you don't change them you can get a good flooding while cranking! i think with my 80lb injectors i ended up dividing the orignal numbers by 4 .....

Jayme just pointed out to me the error of my ways .....

for the petrol tune with the above info you need to divide the numbers by 2.3 but for methanol which you need MOOOORE of you need to get the petrol figure then times it by 2.2 so in which case the stock crank base pulse width settings are probably just about spot on.

What your saying in this post, is to leave the methanol figures as they are?
Now its time to burn a chip with the "Spark Reference Angle" changed & the pulse width changed.

no, what hes saying is to copy the stock v6 injector rate and use that.
stock v6 injector rate with double size injectors = about twice as much fuel flowing (which is about right for methanol anyway)

I tried to burn a chip today, but I get this message at the bottom of the Willem screen"ERROR AT 0x000000 CHIP=0xFF BUFFER=0x00" I used 2 27SF512 chips that had been erased plus one new one,all get the same message. Any ideas as to what may be wrong? :wtf:

Sounds like its not writing.. is your burner powered properly, and set up for the right chip if it needs it?

I tried a blank test on all 3 chips, all were ok. willem was set to the correct chip & connected correctly :wtf:
