the dfi sends the ecu crank pulse to let it know the engine is turning so if it has no power the ecu wont see the engine turning and wont deliver injection pulse

mad as!!!. so right now im infront of the car, ive got my ignition on and i have no power to the light green wire at the DFI, so next to check is my EFI relay, i have downloaded the vy v6 and v8 wiring diagram zip folder but im having a bit of trouble finding what i am after, is the EFI relay named something else?

Just looked at the one's on here. They aren't GM issued so different layout etc. Have you got 12V at the injectors? Should be the same feed.

i cant find anything specified efi relay, so im not to sure which one to go for, i have no power at the light green wire so i feel i should trace that back, but my diagram says it goes through a fuse and a relay but it looks like it goes through the ecu....hmmm

Looks like it supplies D16 on the PCM too.

If your looking for the relay in the cars fuse panel its called the "engine cont relay" in the vy.
Also have you checked the engine fuse in the fuse panel under the dash and the engine fusible link in the under bonnet fuse panel?

I agree the factory docs are hard to read. I cant find that circuit on there either, or anywhere else on the net. Hopefully someone does have this info and can post it up here (or in the vy wiring thread for others).

thankyou, the engine control relay!! ill check that out tonight. i have checked for power and that all the big fuses are good in the engine fuse box, i have checked all the fuses in the car to make sure none are blown!!!
