Today I cut down a VN throttle cable and made up some brackets to hold it, so now have a functioning accellerator pedal.
The butterfly opens probably 90-95% with the pedal flat, not quite perfect, but good enough for now.

Then I was going to try and drive it out of the shed, but the clutch hydraulics seem to have packed it in since it last moved.
There's a puddle under the rear, so looks like a slave cylinder rebuild before I can try again - unless the master is cactus as well :(

Woohoo! it moved under it's own power!
Only forward and back a couple of feet, I need to clear a path out of the shed before I can go any further :oops:
But I was running out of 2011 to get it moving, so mission accomplished (sort of) ;)

Yesterday I finally got around to running the fuel lines under the car (instead of over the roof where they had been), and thought I should probably drain the tank before connecting it up.
Lucky, because what came out didn't look much like petrol at all!

I started tidying up the engine bay too, bolted down the ignition module and fixed up a few bits of dodgy wiring.

It's still running really rich. I wired up the NB O2 sensor this afternoon and got the engine up to temperature, but the O2 voltage wasn't responding like I expected it to so will double-check the sensor earth etc before trying again.

you sure there wasn't coke in your petrol tank :)

do you have a log or screen shot of what its doing ? is it varying from 450mv ?

I think the alfa might have been on the guinness on NYE, petrol shouldn't have a head!

The O2 voltage was varying a bit - I saw 5-600mv but it didn't really change with revs (or even changing KINJFLOW) - I took a log this morning but it was still saying O2 not ready after 10 minutes this time, so no point posting it.

This arvo I cleaned up a bit and got it out of the shed, let it warm up and had a quick play in the paddock.
There's a new problem that I've never had with this car before - complete lack of traction :shock:

If it doesn't get any better after tuning, I'll still be happy!

hahahaha thats a major problem that ..... unfortunately theres no real fix for it either hehe...

ok heres a monitor log of a mostly normal NB o2 sensor, the bottom monitor blue and green ones, this is in an ecotec .... don't worry that they are not the same, thats another issue

so what i would expect to see in cruise mode (closed loop) it will swing from rich to lean every half a second or so, then as you mash the pedal and go into the richer than 14.7 areas you should see it go up to 800-900ish mv for WOT obviously if you tune it lean then it will be a lower number, but thats the general feel of things, it does sound like yours is cactus, weather its the sensor or wiring is for you to work out :)

I'll swap the sensor out and see if that makes a difference.
