Re: VT-VX Clusters
1st one is part no. 92078903
2nd one is part no. 92047771
if it's coming up with odoerror it's at least trying to send it & failing obviously but no idea whether it's a power problem or security measure?

Re: VT-VX Clusters
The numbers on the 2nd 1 is deff correct the 1st 1 is back in the shed. At least looking at that the reads seem to be ok when they have been done still on the board.
Would like to know if anybody has sent a bin file to the eprom while it is still soldered to the cluster, If so did the cluster need to be powered?

Re: VT-VX Clusters
when ive had odoerror it's been an invalid checksum on the eprom data.VX L67 Getrag wrote:1st one is part no. 92078903

Re: VT-VX Clusters
Not sure why it would be a invalid checksum as I am just trying to put the same bin I extracted back onto the cluster

Re: VT-VX Clusters
Confirmed 100% clean reads!
Have you tried re-reading since odoerror, then we'll know exactly what/how much has changed!

Re: VT-VX Clusters
Here is the read back bin file with the dash showing odrerr. I am starting to thing that the chip might need extra power when it comes to programing. If this is the case it could have been holdens way of stopping cluster tampering, but this is only a guess at this stage.
It is almost like it will let the cluster take only the last part of the file and the complete bin

Re: VT-VX Clusters
For what ever reason it has filled the eeprom with 0's (mostly) left some of it the same & random numbers at ec, ed, fe & ff!
Re: VT-VX Clusters
You need to fix the value at $1F on both bins, generally it will display odoerror if the values don't match or there's an error.
also doing multiple read/write will corrupt the eeprom, best thing to do is to save the very first dump as a backup just in case

Re: VT-VX Clusters
I have the original dump of the cluster here
All I was looking at doing was to see if I could read and write back to the cluster with the ic still on the board original dump bin file
When i try to write back to the cluster I get odoerr and this is the resulting bin file that is on the cluster

Re: VT-VX Clusters
for some reason your programmer is writing errors that's nothing new just write to it again
make sure the first line matches the 2nd line so you don't get the odoerror
if you're only editing the ODO value set your programmer to only write to those locations
