Had to get to the track early on Saturday for a special meeting just for Productions. Theres been a lot of grizzles and our new rep has decided to see if we can have it sorted out, i admire her for sticking her neck out cos i feel she'll be getting her ears chewed every which way, one driver sent her an e-mail moaning his arse off about me but the twit sent to all, You met him Delcowizzid with his honda computer - he had to come and eat some serious humble pie on thursday evening and got some real tough questions from me then the missus gave him one hell of an earfull as i drank his peace offering.
Upshot of the meeting was the officials are gonna crack down bigtime on contact (rubbing is now gone

) and baulking / blocking
Pulled the 18 marble

back of the grid with two newbies behind me and the new 10G car untried and wanting to stay out of trouble not knowing what it would go like, found the track a bit sloppy to start but had grip which was nice, had a Mitsi FTO in front of me that would move quickly up or down to block any passing attempt - in the past i would've given it a rub on the back bumper to say "hurry up or MOVE OVER" but after our drivers meeting i thought the better of it, somehow got up to 13th on his bumper - afterwards he got called up to the tower for a
warning, no damage to the car just covered in crap - went through three tearoffs and the last one came off afterwards.

Main 2 Grid 9:
The two quickest cars on the track (both V-tec Integras) not far behind me on the grid, most cars behaving themselves still keeping there paint to themselves was fairly eneventfull for me; Got passed after a few laps by the Integras - the young hotshot just outta ministocks drives really well in that rocketship and gets by cleanly with space - first meeting he set the class lap record - got past a couple of cars in front of me that i really had to work for to do cleanly and finished where i started - ninth - and a straight car.

Feature, Grid 1:
Lined up on the dummy grid in the pits on pole quick smart to lighten the load for our rep getting us all in position and had the 11G BMW pull up beside me on 2 as the pacesetter - UHOH whenthis guy had a CRX he destroyed a couple of my left front rims sledging in to them and last season in the beemer he would wag its arse all over to avoid being passed - i've never been next to this driver without scars to show for it

the Integras were a couple of rows behind us - if i wanted this bastard i was gonne have to drive my arse of to do it!
Got out on the track and formed up behind the pace car and as we went around i had a bit of space left before being in the marbles so maybe we were going to have an o.k bullshit free startwhen the pace car went in he slowed it right down to a crawl down the back straight before hitting it about halfway - i was in first ready for it and just went with andkinda lined up my bumper with his front tyre to keep the start clean, when i snatched second i'd just heard him change gear for the second time, as i kept position the car felt stable as, coming into fourlights out he started moving down as i was pulling level getting ON the gas, kept coming down so i nailed it and we had a wee

slap and off like hell i went and by the back straight i had room to move and wring the old girls neck to gain as much time as i could while the Integras got through a bit of traffic.
The car was freaking awesome the track had heaps of drive in it and i was getting to go WOT a lot more than last time, after five laps i was going down the back straight and glanced at my mirror to see the black Integra coming out of two with a clear track between us so i knew he was coming, next time around came out of two and onto the back straight he just appeared beside me with plenty of room and was zipping through - to pay this young racer his due he passes cleanly so respect for that and he is bloody fast - i determined i wasn't going to lose touch and as i turned into three i got a tap in the left rear - theres that blue Integra - and the car got a bit squirrely but i kept hold of it and was surprised to not see myself passed on the inside, i just got the hell on with it and on lap seven coming through three into four i saw the black Integra drop the right front corner and sledge into the marbles (same spot it happened to me last meet) and i thought i'll bloody well have this one and didn't even look at my mirror till that Chequered flag dropped

I stuffed up with that message about the pb mate, saw the row of ones on the sheet as someone was asking me about my "super modified racing cylinder heads i bought from the States" bloody rumour mill - i laughed and the guy asked me where the hell i got that kinda money from knowing i've got a family and a mortgage - the really funny thing is everybody knows the little bs artist is full of it and when i tell them i got replacement valves from the States when the exchange rate was really good a while ago it makes sense - and guess whos bs has just backfired? Gotta love the truth but some stories are a hoot.
Thanks heaps mate, i'm loving it bigtime,
And cheers, hard work & help from family/freinds winning out over a chequebook - granted with some luck thrown in - feels pretty bloody good.

It just might be mate, i did a 17.62something at the last meeting last season pre cam & tune, that was on a bloody fast track though - Saturday was moist and tacky which is great for grip but lap times suffer, i sent you that first text on Sat night was before the feature.
