Rather than just not doing anything the go is my vacationer. Its all original when I got it, have had it for the last 7 years or so (bought it off family member) and know it inside out. Body is very very straight for its age.
So far I have 1 additional NOS left front panel.
2 NOS door sill repair panels.
Finally picked up a CORRECT VP badge lol
VS ecotec intake also NOS.
VP vacationer boot domed decal NOS x 2

radio surround trim NOS with hole for rubber tray locking tab (finally a way to make the tray stay put, I noticed this feature in the VR)
charcoal velvet roof lining fabric.
VP steel blue NOS seat fabric.
And the much unobtanium T5 ecotec support brackets

Next on the list is NOS beaver panel and supports (i bashed mine up over the years as a work car loading things in the boot)
2 things impossible to get, spare wheel well panel and battery tray, will have the well panel beated and minor rust fixed. battery tray needs to be completely refabricated from another example as there is nothing left of this one. Battery is half way fallen through lol
My plan is to have the body work required done professorially as I don't think I am upto a level of skills to satisfy myself. I know a guy but very hard to even get in contact due to how high demand his restoration work is. Paint guy I might finally have as well. An actual car painter who does restro work as well as it is his passion. Seen the work and pretty happy with the standards.
Also some changes of plans for the engine. Due to the lack of info, parts other than stock and high cost of utilizing ecotec rod and piston combo, as you might guess forged versions of them are drug money.
Rather I am thinking along the lines of L32 genuine rods (forged powder metal) and custom JE pistons of 4032 11% Si alloy around stock ecotec CR (9.4), skirt coating as well just like stock L67 do. The rest will is virtually a stock engine. What I am thinking about and has me quite excited is also a raptor SC. I am very impressed with what the raptor SC can do for these engines especially if you don't want turbo.
