Re: Using KalMaker Workshop
i'd also be checking the spark settings in the idle area, make sure they are all the same in the areas it idles in, probably wont fix the hunting but might smooth it a bit.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: Using KalMaker Workshop
DelcoWIz do you ever sleep 1 of your post's was at 4am
No I don't have a chip burner yet so I can't try another tune, but it's supposed to be on it's way!
Yeh no I put my own t.p.s on & IAC & in the view screen yeah it's fine at 0%
Next option can I just go open loop at closed throttle easily to see if that makes a diff?

Re: Using KalMaker Workshop
sometimes i sleep not lastnight though be the 3rd night this week LOL.even if it says 0% the voltage of the tps is what you want too know needs to be greater than about 0.2V and less than 1ish volts the ecu will see any voltage and zero the tps % out when you key on but if the tps voltage is way out it will jump in and out of idle mode and do all sorts of weird shit. did you put the little plastic adaptor on the TPS shaft then when you installed it.maybe its the throttlebody giving you all the greif
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

Re: Using KalMaker Workshop
just copy the entire trans segent from a manuAL vt bin to the VX SC bin, mask the EGR DTC & it will be a good starting point

Re: Using KalMaker Workshop
Sorry it's been a while guys the workshop has been busy & haven't had time to post!
But Doctor bob I don't know how to do that, can you do that in kalmaker, but I think that side of it is ok, as when I look at codes in kalmaker it has CLR beside all so I think it's just a comm error!
But Delcowizz, the tps is fine & I'm not a woodduck,it has .6 volts at idle & 4.5 at full throttle & all good there!
But the car still hunts irratic at idle the advance is now steady at 29.88 & not moving at all!!! good
But there are 3 things changing irraticaly when cold(first 5 mins of start up)
IAC going from 7 to 50 steps
MAC[mgc] going from 48 to 280
& the BPW[MSEC] from 1.5 to 6.27- which I think is the main colpurate
But why is it doing this when cold as I have the afr right when at operating temp & it settles down fine then?
Cheers VX L67 Getrag

Re: Using KalMaker Workshop
thats alot of air change at idle ....
there has to be something thats causing that .... i'd be looking at the cold engine afr's and associated tables ....

Re: Using KalMaker Workshop
Hmmm
Don't want to sound like a dip shit but as I'm only new to this where would the cold afr's be?
Even when I make a change in the idle VE table it doesn't seem to make much difference, the only thing that does is the injmul & the injrate.
When I have the LM-2 plugged in to it when it's cold the afr reading is fluctuating but in between 9 to 12, which is pretty rich...yeah?

Re: Using KalMaker Workshop
12 is probably ok, 9 is getting close to flooding it
as for where the table is i have no idea mate cause i ain't got kalmaker ....
i've never particularly noticed my engine warming up but when at running temp my AFR is about 13.4-5 at idle .... obviously this number will be richer as it gets colder but i would think about 12 would be as rich as you'd want to get most of the time.... i know when my engine was at 10:1 AFR at WOT it was starting to splutter!

Have a read of the street pro 3 manual, it should get you thinking in the right direction and looking at the variables with the right sounding names, from page 153 of
http://www.hotrodhandbooks.com.au/eBook ... 0Guide.pdf
Running rich at idle when cold.
The variable FUL:AFR:IACAFR should handle cold starts adequately, but you may notice on your Gauges screen at start-up that the commanded AF (AFR [ratio]) is far richer than the values in FUL:AFR:IACAFR. If this is the case, you can change the timout airfuel decay, FUL:AFR:AFTDCY. Decrease the AFR vs Coolant temp values to see what affect they have. You can also decrease the timout airfuel interval FUL:AFR:AFTDLY, and the Closed Loop Fuel Idle Time variables FUL:AFR:IAFTMD (for Drive) and FUL:AFR:IAFTMP (for Park/Neutral).
Having a play with those settings (especially FUL:AFR:AFTDCY) might help.

Re: Using KalMaker Workshop
Thanks Heaps guy's,
As Al the seller of kalmaker says I have a lot of reading to do but it seems the more I read the more I get confused because there are so many variables & I try to adjust all of what are told but then I read the next bit & think that will alter the last setting,
I did command the AFR to go to 16.2 below 32 degres celsius, but then when looking in gauge screen it didn't try to do anything till I gave it a little throttle less the 3% & it started to command it to 16 afr but just sitting without touching the throttle it stayed at commanded 14.25 is there anothe setting?
I'm going to have to read the manual & then translate it back to workshop kalmaker terms as they are different!
Anymore info is great help & thanks to all!!!!
