Re: Toyota 2TG/3T Hybrid
Quick Update haven't had much time to much lately. Here are some photo's first is the modified Camira Coil bracket to mount to my current coil location and to mount the ignition module to.
Second is the manifold before modification began Next are as it currently stands.
Now I'm just trying to locate some blank engine wrinkle paint to redo the manifold and the rocker/cam cover. Does anyone now a good place to start?.

Hi Hks7mgt
I've spoken to you a few time before on your video on youtube and a toymods about doing a delco converstion. The dizzy is just the Reluctor conversion found on Toymods for running a 21R coil pack. If your ever getting rid of your QTB let me know

Ahh i remember now. I'm still using the QTB's on my new setup for the 2TG so not for sale at the moment - too much fun to be had still.ToyHicko wrote:Hi Hks7mgt

Are you interested in buying the old ECU and loom though? i have no use for it now and it has the modified ECU updated to the VR/VS bit rate and another mod i can't recall at present, but i can find out. All the loom is there too. It'll be the best starting point for you and its much better than the standard JE camira that i pulled it from.
All the best!

Re: Toyota 2TG/3T Hybrid
Mate if you asked me about 6 months ago I would have but I have a Modified ecu with USB interface and a realtime tuning board now All from VL400 which all works very well. As for the Wiring loom I've got a JE harness that I've started cutting up as I'm using a plentum and commodore thottle body plus no doubt different fuel pump in different location I'd have to cut you loom up as well. One thing I would like to know is where did you mount your surge tank and high pressure fuel pump?hks7mgt wrote: Are you interested in buying the old ECU and loom though? i have no use for it now and it has the modified ECU updated to the VR/VS bit rate and another mod i can't recall at present, but i can find out. Re: Toyota 2TG/3T Hybrid
Bugger, but it sounds like you definately have your head screwed on right and USB interface - wow! There is soo much you can do with Delco - i never wrote them off at all!
I was going to mount my tank under the car on the drivers side between the chassis rail and the wheel well at the back. There is enough room for a custom tank and lines to run back an forth, but i decided to have my original tank modified to fit an in-tank hi-pressure pump instead. This is still at the fabricator at the moment and am looking forward on ideas on the internal swirl he'll be designing.
I have a build thread with regular updates on Toymods - search for HKS7MGT. I'm keen to see how you get along and i'll be happy to assist where i can, but you know what you're doing anyhow. The one positive thing you're doing it using a plenum and that was the downfall of my setup as the Delco would only use the MAP as the main reference signal and this was a issue for the ITB's. Delco's like plenum's! I ended up making a plenum box and that did work for all intended purposes. I wont be needing that box anymore as i should be able to tune blended maps using the TPS and MAP both as main load sensors blended together. Nice option for ITBs.

Re: Toyota 2TG/3T Hybrid
the new gauge will be much more useful than the old one im sure!
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: Toyota 2TG/3T Hybrid
know this is an old thread from way back --> good to see someone doing something with a 2TG.
i was going to do similar with a 2T with a modified 2TG inlet manifold to suit the 2T but went the 4AGE route instead.
nice work with the delco setup from the camira, i still have one in a box in my back shed, along with my 2T and a weber manifold, and several 4AGE silver top throttle bodies i was collecting for a while
i reckon a 2T with quaddies from a 4AGE s/t would be great running via an 808 from a JE with custom bin but getting a solid manifold reading from the quads might be a bit interesting
the speedo drive gear, the T50 one from the original Celica dash plugged into my w57 no issues when I put it behind the 4AGE
and no the old jayco clocks don't keep good time at all. i have the non GT povo spec ones and a GT povo spec one and that doesn't keep time at all. i replaced the whole shebang with a fuel gauge and volt gauge in my TA22.
the black wrinkle paint can be had at autobarn --> VHT make it - comes in red also for the fulleee sick hectic VL turbo 'rocket' covers as well LOL
ps: i'm Grega off Toymods also.
