heres what I think is happening. "Idle Fuel Param - Delay before using idle A/F ratio" is set to 20 seconds. so for 20 seconds after you close the throttle it stays on the normal AF ratio table which is commanding closed loop. after 20 seconds it switches to the table: "Map A: Idle A/F Ratio vs Coolant Temperature" which commands open loop. I reckon your VE cells around that area are too rich, so when you are in closed loop the blm adjusts to compensate via the o2 sensor and tis not too bad, but after it hits idle mode and goes open loop, its just way too rich.
if you to to histograms in scannerpro after you have logged for a while (or played back a log), there should be one called BLM table. What you do to help get your VEs back to where they should be is take these blm values into excel (they should be a percentage) and multiply each VE cell by its matching BLM value, that should get the VE very close to where it should be. if you post a log we can help you with this process.

When altering "Map A: Run A/F Param - Displacement/inj flow rate",how does lowering & raising the number affect the tune?

Re: Delco tuning for for dummys
it is your base pulse width, based on injector size, the ecu doesnt know how much the injectors are flowing, it just goes "open these for x milliseconds" the base pulse width is basically the injector size. if your injectors are bigger, you have to lower it (lowering the number leans out the whole tune) as the bigger injectors flow more fuel per second of being open. also you can use it to fudge a bit, if you find you get to 100 in a ve table somewhere, just raise the injector rate a bit (richens it up), then lower your whole ve table by the same percentage.

i had the same issue too when i tried it, never bothered with it after that though
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: Delco tuning for for dummys
The throttle has to be closed, there is a closed throttle flag in the ScannerPro def. If thats not saying closed throttle then the closed throttle VE wont work. I will confirm its working on the bench shortly.
Edit: Closed throttle VE is working, however there is an issue with it not picking up the correct cell. Its off by two
I have fixed this and tested as ok, there will be a V101 of 12P to address this in the next few days. Just need to finalise some features in the flashtool. If anyone needs to use closed throttle VE now please PM me and I will sort you out with a fixed bin.

If your running at 1200RPM it will pick the 1600RPM cell. Otherwise it works as it should.
