I didn't even know modern VWs even make a sound? I just assumed they might sound like a quiet electric egg beater when on full noise.

yeah the gti's I hear all have that funny pop on high throttle shifts..... autos anyways.

its funny as I have an old aircooled vw in the shed and it literally smokes out the shed with black smoke in 5 min. You nearly pass out the CO is that heavy.
