To allow for ALDL writes (128bytes per frame) that are larger than the ECU RAM supports there is a buffer on the NVRAM, you will see data left there from previous writes.

Sorry I'm thinking of hard wiring 2 wires inside of case for wideband logging & just checking the pins to suit input as I have a few different PDF's for wiring & images it's D8 or signal & what would be the best earth pinout to solder on output to?

Are you talking 12p/808? If so check the wiring diagram in the 12p thread for the pin. Im not sure which pins would be best for power, interested to see what others use too.

i have never wired the wideband into the delco, but if i did i'd probably use the wire that feeds ignition power to the delco.

as for earth, any of them should be fine, of if your wiring internally just find one of the big pads on the PCB ?

Is there a digital and an analog ground? The digital one might be better if so. I would not use sensor ground. But power draw for the wideband heater has changed a lot in the last few years. Perhaps its so insignificant now that it doesnt matter at all? Not like the old days when wideband controllers were made mostly of heatsinks and did as much heating in the cabin as of the element. I know the innovate power cable is very thin, so thats a good sign.

Sorry yeah I am talking 808/12p but wasn't going to hardwire the WHOLE controller in, just have 2 wires for the analogue output of LM2 controller go into 808 which I'm thinking from version 1.2 PDF of wiring D8 should be wideband input & seeing the original narrow band earth goes to D6 I will have those 2 wires come out of the case!

Just doing this so the more 808/12p stuff I do I can have a PCM ready for realtime & VE learn off the wideband!

Another question that isn't really the thread for it but does anyone know if I leave the ostrich in with VE learn off wideband that it will actually learn or do I have to use the 1.40 plugin & NVram?

VE learn will not work on ostrich... NVRAM only.

Thinking about it on the ride home I suppose so long as the PCM supports enough power no reason I can't get power for unit from PCM too!

The MTX-L uses a high frequency switching regulator, not sure what the LM2 uses, but id still be very careful about wiring this near the ECU. It only takes 1A or less but the switching can put noise in places you dont want. As antus suggested, dont use the sensor ground for the power wiring of the LM2. Run a new earth if you want but being differential outputs for the analog out you can get away with more using an LM2 - just use pin D6 and D8 like you planned for the analog side. Power for the LM2 can be off the ciggy plug.
