Re: Command 3rd gear VX N/a V6
I finally got to testing it on the way home last night & it didn't work, it just slowed the logging down & confused it!!!
But then I started thinking it's sending the command to the wrong address, so I'll try modding it to the right address!
I'm not sure what you meant by hand modifying the ADX's Antus, what am I doing wrong to hand modify them? I can only think maybe changing names in windows & not tunerpro itself?
Thanks VX L67 Getrag

Well, from the top of tunerpro created XDFs:
It doesnt say that in the adx, but it would be the same code behind it and the warning probably applys there too. Tunerpro is not my app, but I think you found out what happens when you do.XDF

DO NOT HAND EDIT!!!! (Trust me)

Nah Thats cool Charlay that ADX you edit was for $A5 which was F5, but the 1 I moded was for VX so F7!
Sorry to sound stupid & lame but what do they mean by hand edit? as I previously said I can only assume it means only edit inside of tunerpro?
Thanks again VX L67 Getrag

I guess in this situation hand edit refers to modifying the adx file in notepad (or other text editor)

Re: Command 3rd gear VX N/a V6
yeah thats correct, and its because some text editors do things like putting in carriage returns and stupid stuff like that which causes the sort of issues your seeing.
at the end of the day if you use tunerpro for any editing you should not have these issues.

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Cool, Thanks guy's, I did only use tunerpro for editing but I noticed the spelling was wrong in the file name so I changed that only inside windows & that must be what caused the issue!
will hopefully test 3rd gear lock in my VY tonight on the way home!

BINGO!!!!!
The only problem was getting it to go back to standard?
At 100Kmh it first disengaged TCC so it went from 1500 rpm to 1600(within 1 second) then 1 second or so later went to 2300rpm & locked in 3rd & doesn't come out till I disconnect the connection in tp5!
Small steps but so far so good thank you all!
Cheers VX L67 Getrag

Re: Command 3rd gear VX N/a V6
that makes sense, doesn't the command keep sending the same thing over and over till you disconnect ?

That seems to be what happens with this as no one was 100% sure VL thought it may need to be resent every so often!
Unless there's a command you can send to unlock 3rd & go back to standard seems just have to disconnect logging!
