Yeah just about, havent peeled off the right rear quarter yet and the rear panel will be a mission tomorrow too but i'll get there, the wife rang next door to warn the old boy to take out his hearing aid and for her to have an extra couple of gins tonight, she did say that one of my machines makes there tele go haywire - that'll be the mig - they're gonna be pissed off tomorrow

Sussed out the shake from the arse, right rear rims a bit wobbly, put a good rim on and ran it up and sweet.

Not stickers - painted by me.

Well as more got pulled off more damage was found but the rear quarters being off meant i could get at stuff a hell of a lot easier, parts of both arches were that crushed they were folded up over themselves so i took the opportunity to get them back into semi decent shape, i think all up most time was spent figuring out where to cut/overlap panels, wasn't worried about a couple of extra kilos i wanted it strong so it can take the beating it'll get over the next six months of "rubbin". The lad with the ministock stayed for most of the week and was a great help and a couple of mates chipped in too (not to mention a couple who came over and held me up ). It was one hell of a mission and its a bit ugly in spots but it got done in the nick of time.

Got it on the trailer just as the heavens opened, loaded up the gear and family and headed off, half way to the track the wife got a txt from a freind it was cancelled so i pulled over and rang our class rep and got a confirmation they pulled the pin - gutting after all that effort but i still have the satisfaction of knowing i bloody well did it. Brought three new tyres yesterday so now i have the chance of getting my grooving gun through them before racing and i might check over the suspension too so all in all i can get it better prepared before the madness begins on the track.

Brocky supposedly said "bite off more than you can chew then chew like hell" i know what he meant.

you've done a hell of a job man, nice work, shame about the rain .... seems theres been alot of that going around lately!

i've been helping a mate who just bought a XD falcon for a street stocker, came with shitloads of pipes bent up for the radiator in the back seat so we welded them all together and got them sorted, my next task is wiring up ignition and fan etc for it all .... we arn't on a deadline though!!

lol funny you should say that, spent most of saturday helping brad, got remote battery, ignition and starter wiring sorted, also got the remote radiator pipes mostly done, then dave rings me "i've had an accetone fire in the late model cabin, all your wiring is burnt"

:|

he needed it sorted by tuesday, so spent about 4 hrs today re-wiring the late model, shes all back to where it was before now and dave shouted me and the wifey dinner and drinks at the tavern, beers and chinese .... NICE!

the street stockers running and the cooling system is all sorted, late model is back to its former glory with a few improvements and i'm full and pissed :P :punk:

The poor old girl spent three days and nights out in the carport while i got stuck into the shed, still not spotless - doubt it ever will be for more than five minutes anyway, i see a clean space and think......right now i can get stuck into......... and its shit for Africa again.

I met a chick that does stickers a while ago when i was bolting the stockcar heads on then saw her the following day at the weighbridge when i took 34g through for greensheeting and got talking about some signage on my car, she came around last week with a sample 'tuned by...' with a white centre and i thought that was what i was getting for my visor so it got painted red this time, put the sample on the bonnet after work tonight and thought thats cool. She came around this evening with the big one for the visor and its red so i figured no worries repaint the visor red then after discussing it with her and the missus we decided to put it on and if need be i'll paint around the border white, she had a smaller one too and slapped it on the boot.

Shes doing another white one for the other side of the bonnet and i've asked her to do some old school NASCAR style 231cu.in outlines to go just inside them. I've got her working on the delcohacking.net logo too for on top of the doors and MILD from squaredarches.com is sending me a couple of stickers for the rear quarters, spose i should get onto JC's too. Should see some Cook County Performance ones shortly so with any luck it'll be looking like a race car soon.

Lets see how long it takes someone to pipe up about me using his logo

Oh yeah, when i asked her what the damage was she gave me a price, told her piss off not enough for what shes done, after we agreed on the extra work and a small increase in price i told her to make up her own signage {she's just starting out doing this} and stick it on the car too as i know how hard it is to establish your reputation in this town especially when the opposition has been around forever, i hope shes impressed when she finds out shes going international on the interweb when i post up the car
