Hi all.
Unfortunately haven't had much time to play and sort problem as more important things have arisen. We now have "tappet rattle" at low speed under load revs, and the idle now "hangs" at 1200 or so (that wasn't there before), before it drops back to idle at 950, as well as the occasional higher rev hang. I think I might re-time the cam a couple degrees advanced from where it is and see how it goes. BUT, we can drive around the cam issues at the moment.
I know this is WAAAAAAAAAAY off topic, sorry, but has anyone here have any knowledge on the Opel 2.5 or 2.6 quad cam engines. We have googled and dogpiled and all sorts of search engines, but cannot get a diffinitive answer, even from the UK sites. The wife's car has been playing up for months (hence no advance on my issue). Have bought an opcom and got it going, and I wish we could do what that does with the Holdens of the same era. Awesome.
Thanks all for your patience, but unfortunately life hasn't been very friendly the last 6 months or so, but when we (stupid me  and friendly, extremely clever tuners  , oh, and my patient family) get it all sorted, I'll be the first to let people know.
Cheers.
